Bitterroot Timberframes draws upon the wide range of experience and knowledge of many gifted logcrafters and timberwrights who live nearby. The Bitterroot Valley, spreading south from Missoula, has been for many years a center for log and timber companies. It is gifted with a rich resource of dedicated craftsman.
ANDRE TESSIER: Manager, Timberframe Design and Fabrication.
Andre holds degrees from the University of Oregon and Montana State University. He has been a timberframer for the past 11 years and thinks of wood as an artist's medium. His father and grandfather were furniture makers, so he grew up with a true passion for the material. Working with architects, interior designers, builders and his associates, has inspired him to find artistic expression as a woodworker and timberwright.
ROBERT KATEN: Manager, Pre Fab Walls. Robert is a key man in the Bitterroot's management team. He brings over 20 years of experience in the construction of quality custom homes in northern California, Oregon, and western Montana. His passion for woodworking and dedication to quality and customer service underscore his dedication to his work.
MIKE WELLS: Operations Manager
Mike grew up in the southeast and received his bachelor's degree from Virginia Tech. He gained his early interest in woodworking while apprenticing in an antique furniture and restoration shop during college. Mike joined Bitterroot's timber and log operation in Stevensville in 2000, starting from the bottom and working his way up to his present position as Operations Manager. He has worked in all facets of the yard's operations, running the sawmill, and preparing siding, trim, and millwork packages. |
